Photo sessions, tips & tricks, and whatever else comes to my mind.

This week I met up with some photographer friends (like regular friends but cooler) and we had a German picnic (thanks Oktoberfest!) and took headshots for each other. Chaos ensued. My new favorite prompt: “dance like an oompa loompa”.

The best thing about this business is the opportunity to meet so many people, clients AND vendors alike. I’ve been lucky to have good friends in the industry who just get it! It’s great to be able to meet up with them and try out new techniques and just be goofy. And it’s nice to get new headshots too because it’s a reminder of how rarely I appear in FRONT of the camera. Also, the food was amazing. German is one of my favorite cuisines, as anyone who has ever eaten at my house can attest. The ONLY souvenir I brought home from 3 months in Europe was a spaetzle press from Germany. It’s also one of 4 items I would save in a house fire. It’s always a great idea to sit down over a meal and bond.
